Cover Band Hire Melbourne - Escape

About

Escape is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.

Escape are a Melbourne function band whose players each carry up to 25 years of professional stage work, and they take production as seriously as the music. Sound, lighting and instruments are all high end, the stage is set up to look right as well as sound right, and an engineer arrives a few hours early to sound check properly. DJ tunes fill the gaps between sets. The song list runs pop, rock, dance, retro and country: 1999, Addicted to Love, Ain't Nobody, All Night Long, April Sun in Cuba, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, Achy Breaky Heart. Themed shows are available too, including 70s and 80s disco, 70s hits and a 70s to 90s rock set. Based in Melbourne, available Australia-wide.

Watch

The show

Six players who've each been doing this professionally for the better part of two decades, and it shows in how little fuss there is. The instruments, the sound rig and the lighting are all top-shelf, and an engineer stays with the band right through the night rather than setting up and vanishing. Between live sets, DJ tunes keep the room moving so the energy never flatlines. It works for a wedding, a corporate function, a festival stage, or a regular night at a bar or bistro.

On the day

The band and the sound and lighting engineer arrive a few hours before your event starts. That buffer is deliberate: it covers the full production load-in and a proper sound check, so by the time your first guests walk in, everything has already been tested and set.

Performance options

Four different shows, really. The Top 40 band covers the best pop, rock, dance and retro from the seventies through to now. There's a seventies and eighties disco tribute if you want the whole night pointed at the dance floor, a straight seventies hits show, and a rock tribute running seventies through nineties. Pick the one that fits your crowd and the band builds the night around it.
