About
Afterglow is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Seven of them: Akshay, Alistair, Craig, Luke, Sancha, Sean and Shaun. Afterglow Live Band cover the last 60 years of pop, rock and roll, R&B, funk, soul and country for Melbourne weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and fundraisers. And they do their homework, shaping the set to your guests before the night and then adjusting it live as the dance floor tells them what's working. A 5 piece version is also available. If they're bringing their own sound system, they'll want access to the venue a couple of hours early.
The show
Seven people on stage: Akshay, Alistair, Craig, Luke, Sancha, Sean and Shaun. The set covers about sixty years of pop, rock and roll, R&B, funk, soul and country, shaped to your guests before the night and then adjusted live as the dance floor tells them what's landing. A five piece version is there if the full seven won't fit the room or the budget.
On the day
When the band brings its own sound system, they'll want to be in the venue about two hours before the start time. That's load in, setup and a proper sound check, and it's worth writing into your run sheet early because venues often hand over the room later than couples expect. Talk it through when you enquire and the timings can be pinned down.
