About
4te Music is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Male and female lead vocals share the front of this 6 piece, backed by piano, guitar, bass and drums, which opens up duets and a wider stretch of material than a single-singer band can cover. 4te's list moves from Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Isn't She Lovely through Can't Stop the Feeling and Moves Like Jagger, with a soft spot for a Disney moment like A Whole New World. They've spent four years playing weddings, corporate events, festivals and fundraisers around Melbourne, and a DJ option now carries the music between and after live sets. Their own sound system comfortably fills a function room of 200 to 300 guests.
Watch
The show
Live music played well, by people who do this for a living. That is the whole promise, and for most events it is honestly the thing that matters. No gimmick attached to it. You book quality players, they turn up prepared, and the music for your event is handled properly from the first song to the last. Sometimes that is exactly enough.
On the day
Allow at least two hours before your event starts for the band to load in and set up. Build that into your run sheet, especially if the room is being used for something else beforehand or if the guests arrive early.
Performance options
You can book the 6 piece band on its own, or the band with a DJ so the music keeps running between and after live sets. A wireless microphone for MCs and speeches can be added as well. Their own sound system handles a function room holding 200 to 300 guests. A couple of practical notes: quotes assume up to 30 minutes travel from Melbourne city and a two hour set up, with anything beyond that quoted separately, each performing member needs a meal at evening events, and for weddings they'll organise a meeting with the couple or your coordinator soon after you confirm, to lock in requests and details.
