About
Santa for hire is a costume character for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
This Santa has done Christmas Day at the Sheraton Mirage, the Santa Express for Queensland Rail, P and O, Southport Yacht Club, and a Lord Mayor's Carols in front of 9,000 people, plus hundreds of private and corporate events. The children's party routine is worked out properly. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town goes on the PA, Santa walks in ringing the bell, tells a few jokes, gets everyone singing Jingle Bells, then does the disappearing throne bit and pretends to fall asleep while the kids lose their minds trying to wake him. Then presents and photos, with time for a chat about someone's good dress. You supply the chair, nothing fancy. Santa brings a PA if needed. Blue card compliant.
The show
For a children's party the running order is worked out and it holds up. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town goes on the PA, then Santa walks in ringing his bell. A few jokes, everyone sings Jingle Bells, then the routine with the throne that disappears. He sits down and falls asleep, and the kids go completely off trying to wake him. Presents and photos follow, and if there's time Santa will stop to tell someone their dress is lovely and ask whether Mum made it.
On the day
You supply a chair. It doesn't need to be a throne, since Santa is what people are looking at. He'll bring a PA along if there isn't one, and at bigger events he'll use whatever microphone the venue already has running.
Performance options
Santa is booked by the hour. If the party's still going and the kids aren't done with him, he can stay on in half-hour blocks rather than a whole extra hour. He travels to the venue, home or hall, wherever it is, and the location gets confirmed when you book.
