About
La Galerie Mobile is a costume character for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Wearable art that lights up and walks around. La Galerie Mobile is a Melbourne roving company whose installations turn a public space into a moving gallery, and its signature piece, Walks of Art, sends out characters drawn from painters like Van Gogh and Monet in handcrafted costumes under glowing LED umbrellas. It reads as visual art and theatre at once, which is why it lands at cultural festivals, parades and outdoor night events rather than in a corner of a function room. Credits include Glastonbury Festival, White Night in Melbourne and arts festivals overseas.
