About
Freddie Arthur is a comedian for hire in Brunswick, VIC.
Freddie Arthur is a stand-up and MC, originally from Mildura and now based in Naarm. RAW Comedy Victorian State Finalist in 2025, with gigs in Edinburgh and London and an appearance on SBS behind her. The style is storytelling and personal anecdote with some observational material threaded through: mental health, bodily functions, family dynamics that don't quite make sense. Adult themes, so it suits an 18+ room, though there's not much coarse language in it. Scout Boxall called her a quietly unhinged onstage presence. A microphone and speaker helps, but she's worked smaller rooms without one.
Watch
The show
Book this for a room that's 18 and over. Adult themes run through the set, but the swearing stays fairly light. Subjects include mental health, bodily functions of the sexual variety included, and families that behave in ways nobody can explain. She works through stories and things that actually happened to her, with observational material threaded between, rather than a run of setups and punchlines.
On the day
A microphone and a speaker she can use makes life easier, so if the room has them, good. But she's done smaller groups with no mic at all, so a modest room without a sound system isn't a reason to rule it out. Worth saying which you've got when you enquire.
