About
Fern Black is a comedian for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Comedy from Adelaide, with the rudeness dial set wherever you want it. Fern Black takes a brief before the night and pitches the material to the room, so a corporate function and a rowdy party can both be catered for by the same act. The audience gets pulled in rather than sat at. Want a preview of the material? A sheet of sample gags can be sent through first. Arrives early, dressed for the occasion. All that's needed is a PA and a microphone.
The show
Fern Black gets there early and turns up dressed for the room you've booked. The jokes go wherever you want them to go, and the brief you give beforehand decides how far that is, so a corporate function and a loud party can both be handled without the material feeling wrong for either. Your guests get pulled into it rather than sat in rows. Want to see what you're getting first? A sheet of sample gags can be sent through before you commit.
On the day
A PA and a microphone, and that's the equipment side finished. The third thing on the list is an audience that came out wanting to laugh, and that part is on you.
