The Ramblers is a Celtic band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Irish folk played loud enough to start a singalong and loose enough to keep one going. The Ramblers work weddings, festivals, pubs, private parties and corporate nights around Sydney, mixing Irish classics with modern covers and a fair bit of talking to the room. Sets get built to match the event, so it can sit back as background music early and turn into a proper party later. They need a few metres of flat, sheltered space, some power nearby, and access an hour or so before to load in and sound check. Insured.
The show
Loud, warm and hard to sit through quietly. The Ramblers pack a set with Irish favourites and choruses the room can shout back, mixed in with modern covers so it never turns into a museum piece. They talk to the crowd and pull people in rather than playing at them. Weddings, festivals, private parties and corporate events all get a set shaped to the mood of that particular night.
On the day
Three by two metres is what floor minimum, more once the full band is out. They'll want two to four power outlets close by, and a flat, safe area with cover from the weather. Evening events need enough light to see what they're doing. Give them the venue 60 to 90 minutes ahead for load-in and sound check, with parking or a loading area nearby. Stools help during the acoustic stretches, and water for the players is appreciated on longer bookings.
