About
McFarlanes Lantern is a blues band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Blues and soul with a wide reach. McFarlanes Lantern move between contemporary players like Joe Bonamassa, ZZ Top and The Commitments and the older end of the catalogue, Eric Clapton, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald. They write too. Their single Grow Old Together sits alongside a first run of original recordings, and the originals hold their own next to the rare covers they dig up. The sound is funky, bourbon soaked New York rock and soul blues, played with the kind of raw talent and technique that gets a floor dancing. Brisbane based.
