About
Blue Persuasion is a blues band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Blues classics, played hard, with rock, funk and soul worked through them. Blue Persuasion cover BB King, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Freddie King, then move forward to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Dr Feelgood and Eric Clapton. Some Rolling Stones turns up too. It's dance floor blues rather than the sit-down-and-nod kind. The players have spent years on Australian festival, pub and club stages, and it shows in how quickly they read a room. Based in Brisbane, suited to parties, pubs and anywhere a crowd wants to move.

The show
Blues with the rock, funk and soul rubbed into it. Blue Persuasion open the door on the old masters, BB King, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, then bring it forward through Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Dr Feelgood and Eric Clapton, with a Rolling Stones number or two thrown across the middle. The point of the arrangement is movement. This is a band that expects the floor to fill, not a crowd sitting politely through a slow shuffle. Between them the players have done long stretches on festival stages, in pubs and in clubs here and in the UK, and there is younger energy in the line up as well.
