About
Dave Bradshaw is a bagpiper for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Bagpipes usually turn up for one purpose and then leave. Dave Bradshaw treats them as an instrument you can actually play music on. Working out of Melbourne, he takes the Scottish tradition and pushes it into acoustic, Americana, pop and rock territory, either on his own or alongside other musicians. The pipes still sound like pipes. What changes is the material they're playing. That makes him a fit for weddings and corporate functions where you want the moment of arrival, and also for festivals and concert bills where a full set is expected.
