About
Aerial Performance (Silks, Lyra, Trapeze and more) is an aerialist for hire in Townsville, QLD.
Townsville Fringe Festival, Townsville Eats and The Ville have all had these aerialists overhead. A group of local Townsville performers covering silks, lyra, trapeze and more, they hold advanced rigging certification and handle their own rigging, so the venue doesn't have to solve that problem. No ceiling point? Their freestanding rig runs at a full 7 metres in a 6 by 6 metre footprint, or at 4.5 metres where a room is tighter. Public liability and professional indemnity insurance are both held. They also take on roving entertainment, kids' events and wedding performances.
On the day
Two ways to do this. If your ceiling has a rated point they can rig from, they'll use it. If it doesn't, they bring a freestanding rig instead, which wants a 6 by 6 metre footprint on the floor and takes the act up to its full 7 metres. Rooms that can't give that much height are still workable: they'll drop the rig to 4.5 metres and perform at that. Let them know your ceiling before the day so they arrive with the right gear.
