He'll talk through the running order with you beforehand, work out when each block of music should land, and hand over a microphone for the speeches. And where it suits, the gear goes in before guests arrive, so the first thing anyone sees isn't a bloke taping down leads.
On the day
Outdoors, he'll need a shelter he can play under and a safe way to get to a power point.
