About
Shanelle Underwood is a violinist for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Shanelle Underwood is a wedding and event violinist on the Gold Coast, covering south east Queensland including Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Scenic Rim, Tamborine Mountain, Maleny and Byron Bay. Classical training underneath, modern repertoire on top, so a pop ballad for the walk down the aisle sits comfortably next to quieter background playing through a reception. Requests outside the usual repertoire are welcome if you give enough notice. She's fully insured for public liability, which venues often want in writing. Available for interstate travel.
The show
Shanelle plays whichever parts of the day you want covered: the ceremony itself, drinks afterwards, or straight through the reception. You settle that between you when the timeline firms up. If a longer booking calls for a short break, recorded music runs through the PA so the room does not drop into silence. Requests beyond her usual repertoire are welcome, and the earlier you raise one the better. For anything outdoors she will talk through a wet weather option in advance, partly for your guests and partly because rain, harsh sun and real heat all do damage to a violin. She will work that out with your venue rather than leaving it to the morning of.
