Mattias is a violinist in South East Queensland who plays weddings, proposals, funerals and corporate events. The classical list is deep, Pachelbel's Canon, Clair de lune, Elgar's Salut d'amour, The Swan, Massenet's Méditation, the slow movement of Vivaldi's Winter, and there's a full sacred and Christian repertoire alongside it: Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, In Christ Alone, 10,000 Reasons. Modern requests are welcome too. For weddings he'll cover the arrival, the processional, the signing and the recessional, and he offers as many chats beforehand as you need to settle the song choices. Setup and pack down are part of the booking, and travel within an hour of Brisbane CBD is included. He can bring a compact amp and violin mic, so outdoors is fine as long as there's a wet weather plan.
The show
Solo violin, played live and chosen for your event rather than pulled from a standard list. Portable wireless amplification is there if the space needs it. Before the day you get as many conversations as you want about the music, which matters when you're picking the song you'll walk in to. Set-up and pack-down time is part of the booking, so nobody's watching a clock while he unpacks. Travel within an hour of Brisbane CBD is included.
On the day
For sound he can bring a compact amplifier and a violin microphone, which covers most indoor and outdoor settings. If your venue wants a proper large PA setup instead, let him know well beforehand so the technical side can be sorted out with them. Outdoors is fine and he's happy to play there, as long as there's a wet weather alternative ready in case the day turns.
Performance options
Weddings cover pre-ceremony as guests arrive, the processional, the signing of the register, the recessional and the music after. Proposals are one or two songs, with the option of extra time afterwards for photos and ambience. Private events get a mix of classical, contemporary, Christian and whatever you request, either as background or as a proper spotlight set. Corporate is similar, background or featured, with songs picked to match the tone of the day.
