About
Roy Orbison Tribute Artist Mike Escober is a tribute show for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Oh, Pretty Woman. Crying. In Dreams. Mike Escober works through the Roy Orbison catalogue as a solo act, singing over backing tracks with an acoustic guitar in his hands, and the show runs one to two hours. He's based in Brisbane and also takes on wider work as a country and blues singer, guitarist, impersonator and morning melodies performer. Setup is small: a two by two metre space, power, and a room to change in. If your crowd grew up on those songs, they'll know every one of them from the first bar.
The show
A Roy Orbison tribute show, running somewhere between one and two hours depending on what your night needs. Mike Escober performs it solo, singing over backing tracks with an acoustic guitar in his hands, and works through the catalogue people came for. It is a listening show as much as a dancing one, which suits a seated room, a club afternoon or a function where the crowd grew up on those records and wants to hear them done properly.
On the day
A performance space of two metres by two, mains power at that spot, and a dressing room or some private area to change in before the show starts. Nothing beyond those three. The small footprint means a corner of a club room or the end of a function space is enough, without rearranging the seating to make room.
