About
George Mykonos is a tribute show for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Faith opens it, and by the time the Mykonos costume appears the dance floor has usually made up its mind. This Sydney tribute act works through the George Michael catalogue properly: Freedom, Freedom 90, Too Funky, Fastlove, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, I'm Your Man, Careless Whisper, Jesus To A Child, Last Christmas. Costumes are part of the show, not an afterthought. Choose a 45-minute show, a 60-minute show, or two 40-minute sets, with dancers and a band available as add-ons. Speakers can be supplied if there's no DJ on site. Public liability insurance held.
Watch
The show
It opens with Faith and doesn't let up. All the big ones are in there, the costumes change as the show moves through the eras, and by the Mykonos outfit the floor is usually gone. This is one of the better George Michael impersonators working in Australia, and the resemblance holds up close as well as from the back of the room. It's a show, not background music, so put it where people can watch.
On the day
If you've already got a DJ on site, the show runs through their system and nothing else is needed. If you haven't, speakers can be brought along. Let them know which it is when you enquire.
Performance options
Pick the length that fits your run sheet. A 45-minute show, an hour-long show, or two 40-minute sets with a break in between, which suits a night where you want the room lifted twice. Dancers can be added, and a live band as well if you want the full production rather than one performer.
