About
Buddy Holly is a tribute show for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
This Brisbane Buddy Holly tribute offers acoustic solo appearances and a full-band production. Buddy Holly's songs form the centre of the performance, with music from the 1940s through the 1960s and country songs also in the repertoire. The act can bring a live guitar into roving encounters or present the music on stage, adapting its format to the occasion.
Watch
The show
The songs get played straight. No wig-and-glasses gag, no winking at the audience: the aim is a faithful live performance of the Buddy Holly catalogue, done with enough care that the people in the room who grew up on those records recognise what they're hearing. And there's more in the tank than the hits, with 40s and 50s numbers, 60s favourites and country in the wider songbook, so an evening doesn't run out of material after the first set.
Performance options
Two versions of the same show. The acoustic solo performance suits smaller rooms, ceremonies and anywhere the volume needs to sit under conversation. The full band version is the bigger production, for a stage and a dance floor. Same catalogue either way, so the difference is scale rather than repertoire. Say what the room and the guest numbers look like and the right one gets recommended.
