About
The Oz IDOL XPERIENCE is a tribute band for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
Black leather, studs, a curled lip and a room full of raised fists. This Billy Idol tribute runs through Rebel Yell, White Wedding, Hot in the City, Cradle of Love, Eyes Without a Face, Flesh for Fantasy and Catch My Fall, plus a turn at LA Woman. The show is delivered by roXZon, a Newcastle outfit fronted by Triple M's Teza McKenna, with Tracy Jonovski and Andrew Crosson on guitars, Simon Harvey on bass and Dragan Jevtic on drums. Experienced players who leave room for the night to go where it wants.
Watch
The show
The Billy Idol show comes from roXZon, a Newcastle band with real hours behind them. Teza McKenna, a Triple M radio voice, takes lead vocals. Behind that sits Dragan Jevtic on drums, Simon Harvey holding down bass, and a pair of guitars in Andrew Crosson and Tracy Jonovski. What you get from that combination is edge and a bit of unpredictability, because players with that much stage time under them tend to follow the room instead of the run sheet. Loud, sharp, and comfortable letting a night find its own direction.
