About
Chuck Berry Tribute is a tribute band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Blues rhythm, country phrasing, and lyrics about being young in 1950s America. That mix made Chuck Berry one of the most copied guitarists of the century, and The Beatles and the Rolling Stones both took plenty from him. This Sydney band pays tribute to it properly, with Maybellene, Little Queenie, Johnny B. Goode, Carol, Roll Over Beethoven and a long list besides. Between songs there are short anecdotes about Berry himself and the stories behind the records, which gives the night a bit of shape beyond a straight covers set. Two 50 minute sets plus an encore. Expect the floor to be moving by the second one.
