About
Better Be Good To Me -Tina Turner Spectacular is a tribute band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Michelle Gee sings Tina, and the show does not hold back. Better Be Good To Me is a two-hour Melbourne production with a live band, backing vocalists and dancers, tracing Tina Turner's career from the early years through to the solo peak. The setlist is the big ones: Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, What's Love Got To Do With It, Private Dancer, River Deep, We Don't Need Another Hero, Simply The Best and the title song. It's been on drive time radio across Australia, including Fox FM in Melbourne and 2Day FM in Sydney. Costumes, staging and the acting all go into it, and the show can be scaled to fit your venue and event.
Watch
The show
Two hours, and the pace barely lets up. The show tracks Tina Turner's career from the early days through to the arena years, so you get Nutbush and River Deep alongside Private Dancer and Simply The Best. Costumes change, the band plays live, dancers and backing vocalists fill the stage, and Michelle Gee carries it rather than impersonating it from a distance. It's closer to a Vegas rock production than a pub tribute set. Radio has taken to it too, with the show going out on drive time across the country. Expect people up out of their seats well before the end.
Performance options
The production is scalable. A large stage with the full band, dancers and backing vocalists is the show at its biggest, and it can be brought in tighter for a smaller room or a function space where the stage is modest. Tell them the venue, the audience and the slot you've got, and the show gets shaped to fit rather than squeezed in.
