Beatles Tribute Band-1 is a tribute band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
The instruments are the giveaway here. This Sydney Beatles tribute plays the actual models: a Gretsch Country Gentleman, a Rickenbacker 12 string and a Gibson SG on guitar, a Hofner violin bass and a Rickenbacker bass, a Gibson J160E acoustic, a short-scale Rickenbacker 320 and an Epiphone Casino, all pushed through Vox AC30s and an AC50 with a T60 cabinet, with a Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl kit and Zildjian cymbals behind. There is a sitar too, used sparingly because stage lights play havoc with its tuning. The first ninety minutes recreates the early concerts in period suits, with Twist and Shout, I Want to Hold You Hand, A Hard Day's Night, I Feel Fine and She Loves You. Then the Sgt Pepper costumes come out and the second half moves through the later albums.
