About
The Cat Empire is a band for hire in Victoria.
The Cat Empire creates rhythm-driven music that crosses jazz, reggae, funk and Latin influences. Improvisation is a central part of the band's live performances, with songs moving between styles and building around melody and dance rhythms. Its recording history includes a self-titled album released in 2003 and subsequent work exploring that musical mix.
