About
Steve Bennett is a singer for hire in Townsville, QLD.
Thirty years of gigs around Townsville have given Steve Bennett a feel for what a particular room wants at a particular hour. Dinner music that stays out of the way, acoustic sets, old-time rock and roll, pub rock, and the contemporary stuff too. Book him solo and he plays your favourites off the back of a guitar. Book the rock duo, or the three to four piece band, and the volume goes up accordingly. Backyard party, bistro, club, corporate function, wedding: he shapes the line-up to the job. He supplies the PA and the rest of the gear, so a power point is the only real requirement. Public liability cover is in place.
The show
Steve will shape the job around the room and the occasion, whether that is a backyard party, a pub, a club, a bistro, a corporate function or a wedding. Tell him what the night is meant to feel like and he'll supply it. Thirty years of gigs in and around Townsville sit behind that, so there is not much in the way of venues he has not already played.
On the day
Space depends on which version you book, since a soloist takes up considerably less room than a duo or the full band. Beyond that he brings the PA and every other piece of equipment. Somewhere to plug in is the only thing he asks of the venue.
