About

Simon Meola is a singer for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.

Simon Meola has played hundreds of weddings, corporate functions and private events off the Sunshine Coast, covering most genres and mixing his own songs in with the covers. The set list runs wide, from Foo Fighters and The Black Keys through Ed Sheeran and Vance Joy to a solid blues block built on Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Doors and Clapton. Corporate clients include Cisco, MTV Australia, Santos, L'Oreal, Suncorp, Westfield and the Brisbane Broncos. Most shows run four 45 minute sets, though he'll work to whatever timing you have. For weddings he covers the ceremony as well as the reception, and if there's a song you want for the aisle or the first dance that he doesn't already play, he'll learn it. He brings all equipment and lighting. Just power.

The show

Hundreds of weddings, corporate functions and private events sit behind Simon Meola, and that volume of work tends to show up as calm rather than flash. He covers most genres and mixes his own songs in with the covers. The professionalism is the quiet part of the booking, the part you only notice when it's missing: he turns up, he's easy to deal with, and the music does what you asked it to.

On the day

Power. Simon brings all his own equipment and his own lighting, so the only thing left on your side is somewhere to plug in. Nothing to hire, nothing to organise with your venue beyond finding him a power point.

Performance options

Most shows run four sets of 45 minutes, but that's a guide rather than a rule. He'll work to whatever schedule you've got. Wedding bookings can take in the ceremony, not just the reception. If there's a particular song you want for walking down the aisle, the first dance, signing the register or the walk out, tell him. If it's not already in his repertoire, he'll learn it for your day.
