About
Rom is a singer for hire in Airlie Beach, QLD.
One musician, though it won't always sound like it. Rom plays solo acoustic through a loop station with multi-effects, building parts on top of each other so the stage sounds fuller than one person should. Twenty plus years of professional work behind it, across Sydney, Hong Kong, Macau and Auckland, and now based at Airlie Beach. The songs are upbeat pub classics and singalongs from the 70s to now: Boys of Summer, 500 Miles, Sex Is On Fire, Angels, Times Like These, Free Fallin', Shiver. Everything comes with him, speakers and PA included, and the footprint is about two or three square metres. All the venue needs to find is a power point.
Watch
The show
One person on stage sounding like several. Rom runs a loop station with multi effects processing, layering parts as he goes, and plays upbeat material from the seventies through to now. Some of it gets people tapping a foot, some of it gets them singing, and some of it gets them up dancing.
On the day
The footprint is small, around two to three square metres, so a corner works. All equipment comes with him, speakers and PA included. From the venue he needs one thing: a power point.
