About
Mikey Carr is a singer for hire in Surry Hills, NSW.
Mikey Carr takes his cues from Andrew Weatherall, Larry Levan and DJ Harvey, alongside local names like Tornado Wallace, Andras and Tyson Koh, and it shows in how broadly he plays. Italo disco classics, Afrobeat and new age dance all get folded into a balearic mix. He's as good at warming a room up as he is at holding it together at five in the morning, which is a rarer combination than most people realise. Surry Hills based.
