About
Maya Ixchell is a singer for hire in Perth, WA.
Voice and guitar, nothing else needed. Maya Ixchell plays around Perth with a set built from Taylor Swift, Amy Shark, Harry Styles, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Crowded House, Ed Sheeran, Angus and Julia Stone and San Cisco, with Big Yellow Taxi and Dreams sitting comfortably next to Espresso and Blinding Lights. It suits a slow Sunday session, a wedding, or an afternoon with friends where you want music that carries without shouting. She also writes her own material. All she needs from you is a power point, and some shade if she's playing outside.
On the day
Maya's list is short. She needs a power point for the sound gear, and that's the only fixed requirement indoors. Playing outside adds one more: somewhere shaded to sit or stand. Sun on a guitar and on the person holding it is hard going through a long afternoon, so a tree, a verandah or a marquee corner will do the job.
