About
Max Hoorn is a singer for hire in Salisbury, QLD.
A voice with real weight behind it, and a covers list that wanders wherever the room wants to go. Max Hoorn works out of Salisbury in Brisbane's south, playing acoustic sets that pull from folk, classic rock, 80s and 90s radio staples and whatever else fits the crowd. Looping lets one guitar and one voice sound bigger than they should. And if you want more than that, the same act scales up to a duo, a trio or a four piece. Setup is about as easy as live music gets: he brings his own PA and microphones, and all he asks for is a power point. Pubs, weddings, backyard parties, function rooms. Same approach, different volume.

On the day
A power point. That's it. Max carries his own PA and microphones, so nothing needs hiring and nothing needs organising with the venue beyond somewhere to plug in. Handy when you're dealing with a function room that charges for everything, or a backyard where the only infrastructure is an outdoor socket.
Performance options
The act scales. Book Max on his own, or step it up to a duo, a trio or a four piece if the room's bigger or you want a fuller sound for dancing. He'll put together an arrangement that matches the occasion rather than pushing you towards the biggest line-up. Worth mentioning your guest numbers when you enquire, because that's usually what decides it.
