About
Lucy Korts is a singer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Lucy Korts reads the room before she picks the songs. Her repertoire runs from twenties and forties standards through the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties into pop, country, folk, soul and rock, and she'll shape a set list around the style of your event. Weddings, corporate functions, private parties, venue nights, or just something warm playing while people arrive. New song requests for weddings are welcome. She brings all her own equipment and turns up when she says she will, which is half the job. Based in Brisbane.
Watch
The show
A voice and a guitar, played by someone who has clearly put the hours in. What Lucy sells hardest is the boring virtue: she turns up when she said she would, and the performance is the one you were promised. The rest is care. Songs get worked on properly rather than skimmed, and the affection she has for playing live comes through in how the set is handled.
