About
Lionheart Loy is a singer for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Book Lionheart Loy for three hours and you get three 45 minute sets with short breaks between, and it's built to climb. He starts relaxed at a sensible volume, works in some upbeat numbers, and finishes hard enough that the dance floor fills. Then an encore. Seventies, eighties and nineties hits, Aussie rock and country classics, roughly five hours of material to draw on. He plays piano and keyboard, resonator guitar and harmonica, and uses loops, drum pads, bass lines and his own home recorded backing tracks to sound like more than one person. A Spotify playlist covers the intervals. There's a second microphone for speeches, crowd interaction or karaoke, plus lighting, a smoke machine and a 3x3 marquee for shelter. Adelaide venues and country towns both.
The show
A three hour booking is three 45 minute sets with fifteen minute breaks, and it can stretch to four. It's built to climb. He opens relaxed at a volume you can talk over, mixes in upbeat numbers as the night settles, and finishes strong enough to fill the dance floor. Then an encore. Seventies and eighties hits, Aussie pub classics and country, chosen as he reads the crowd. A playlist covers the breaks so the room never goes silent. A spare microphone is there if someone wants to make a speech, talk to the crowd or have a go at karaoke, and he brings lighting, a smoke machine and a 3x3 marquee if the weather looks like an issue.
On the day
He arrives at least an hour before the start time to unload, set up and sound check, and two and a half hours for a wedding, so build that into your venue access. On your side, one power point, ideally on a circuit of its own and away from any transformer or other appliances. That last bit isn't fussiness, sharing a circuit with kitchen gear is where hum and dropouts come from.
Performance options
For a private party the standard booking is a four hour acoustic set, with playlist music running through his own PA around the live playing. If the venue is two hours' drive or more from Adelaide, overnight accommodation becomes part of the arrangement, so mention the location early on.
