About
Kalika J is a singer for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Kalika J sings covers and originals over high quality instrumental tracks, which keeps the setup simple and the sound consistent wherever the gig happens to be. The cover material spans a wide range of genres, so the set can shift with the audience and the mood of the event. The original songs are where the distinct voice comes through. A Sydney based vocalist with an emphasis on expression and connection rather than volume for its own sake. Own speaker system and microphone available if the venue doesn't have one.
On the day
Nothing much, which is the useful part. Kalika J owns a speaker system and a microphone, so a venue with no sound gear of its own is not a problem. If your room already runs a PA she's happy to plug into that instead. Tell her which of those two you've got and she'll pack accordingly. Everything else she performs to is on her own tracks.
