As a producer she takes cues from Vera Blue, Dua Lipa and Snoh Aalegra, and the writing goes at heartbreak and resilience with layered harmony, sarcastic lyrics and grooves that stick. The show
Jodi writes and produces her own material, and it shows up live: layered harmonies, lyrics with a sarcastic edge, grooves that stay with you and melodies that lean jazz. She's a Sydney artist, producer and songwriter, recently out of the Australian Institute of Music, with a fourth single called Frenchie. The influences on the production side are Vera Blue, Dua Lipa and Snoh Aalegra. The songs go at heartbreak and resilience because that's what she has lived. And the set moves across jazz, pop, RnB, soul, blues and country, plus songs in other languages, so tell her where you want it to sit.
On the day
An electrical socket near where she'll be playing. That's the only thing she needs from your venue, since the rest of the gear travels with her. Worth checking the distance from the performance spot to the nearest outlet before the day, especially in a garden or a marquee where the closest power can be further away than it looks.
