About
Jenny Sherry is a singer for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
One vocalist, full band backing, and a night that shifts gear as it goes. Jenny Sherry sings smooth and soft through dinner, then pushes into up-tempo material once people are ready to dance. The songs come from the 70s onward: Fleetwood Mac, Bread, Burt Bacharach, Elton John, Crowded House, the Bee Gees, Blondie, the Pretenders, Divinyls, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Linda Ronstadt, the Beatles, plus soul, pop, rock and a handful of jazz standards. Something for most rooms, in other words. Based on the Gold Coast. Needs close access to a power point, and the extension cord comes with her. Public liability insurance and a blue card are held.
The show
One vocalist with full band backing, which is why a single performer fills the room the way she does. Jenny Sherry sings covers from the 70s onward: Fleetwood Mac, Bread, Burt Bacharach, Blondie, the Pretenders, the Divinyls, the Beatles, plus soul, pop, rock and a few jazz standards. She keeps it smooth and soft while people are eating, then moves into up-tempo material once the room looks ready to dance. Same night, two very different moods. Because the repertoire spreads across five decades, most age groups in a mixed crowd will hear something they know.
On the day
A power point within easy reach of where she's playing, and that's genuinely it. She carries her own extension cord, so a socket a few metres away is no problem, but a wall with nothing near it will be. Have a look at where the performance spot sits in relation to the nearest outlet before the day and let her know if it's a long run.
