About
Jason Coghill is a singer for hire in East Geelong, VIC.
Jason Coghill has supported Renee Geyer, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd and Joe Camilleri, and for the past 20 years he's fronted The J Band, a trio playing covers around Geelong, the Surf Coast and Melbourne. Solo, it's guitar, stomp box and tambourine, with professional backing tracks when a floor needs filling. He'll play a James Taylor ballad smooth and quiet, then belt out Springsteen twenty minutes later. The set is 60s through 90s with a few modern additions: Men At Work, Dragon, The Beatles, Elton John, Midnight Oil, Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, Paul Kelly, Dire Straits, The Police. Weddings and corporate work are his home ground, and he still does regular pub gigs. One hour to set up, one power point.
