About
Jase Invo is a singer for hire in Wollongong, NSW.
Fifteen years of gigs across the Illawarra will teach you how to read a room, and Jase Invo reads them well. This is a laid-back solo acoustic set built on smooth vocals and covers people know, the kind that starts as background and quietly turns into the whole room singing. Ed Sheeran, Vance Joy, John Mayer, Dean Lewis, Ocean Alley, INXS, Bon Jovi, Santana and Elvis all get a run. He'll pitch it relaxed or upbeat depending on what the venue wants, and he DJs too. The PA runs on battery, so he can set up anywhere, power point or not.
Watch
The show
Laid back is the default. Smooth vocals, chilled covers and enough well known songs that people start singing without being asked. Fifteen years of gigs sits behind it, which shows up mostly in the reading of a room: he'll keep it as background if that's what the night wants, or push it more upbeat if the floor is ready. Tell him which and he'll pitch it accordingly. The connection with a crowd is the part he's actually good at, and it's harder to find than a decent voice.
On the day
The PA runs on battery, so he can set up more or less anywhere. No power point, no leads across the lawn, no argument with the venue about which outlet is free.
