About
Jamie MacDowell is a singer for hire.
One person who sounds like a live band. Jamie MacDowell performs drums, bass, piano, guitar and vocal parts himself using a set of drum pads at his fingertips, and watching it happen is half the appeal. The music leans on live acts like Lauryn Hill, The Roots, Citizen Cope and Childish Gambino, working in pop, soul and funk with a real focus on phrasing and groove. It's a spectacle as much as a set, and it fills a room the way a five-piece would.
