About
Isolia is a singer for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Soft, ethereal vocals over acoustic and electric guitar. Isolía works solo across bars and restaurants, hotels, private events and corporate functions, mixing modern pop with the nostalgic stuff people forget they love, Levitating and As It Was sitting next to Dreams, Hotel California and Never Tear Us Apart. Sets typically run two to three hours with short breaks, or three sets of 45 minutes, and can stay ambient or build into something livelier depending on the room. A duo option adds Jacob on electric guitar for a fuller sound. Fully self contained with PA and basic lighting, needing power, a sheltered 2m by 2m space, and about half an hour to set up. Public liability insurance is current.
The show
Soft, ethereal vocals over a refined acoustic guitar, working through modern songs and older ones people forget they love. Isolía turns up self contained with good sound gear, so nothing needs hiring in and there's no scramble on the day. Sets usually run two to three hours with short breaks, and the shape moves to fit your run sheet. The music can stay quiet and ambient in the background, or build into something warmer and more upbeat as the night goes. She's punctual and easy to reach beforehand, which matters more than most people realise until it doesn't happen.
On the day
A standard power outlet, and a safe performance space that's sheltered if you're outdoors. Around 2m by 2m is enough to fit the gear comfortably. Allow 20 to 30 minutes before the music starts for setup and a sound check, and roughly the same again to pack down afterwards.
Performance options
Two line ups. Solo is Isolía on vocals and electric guitar, playing three 45 minute sets, with a professional PA, mixer and basic lighting all included, and metro travel covered. The duo adds Jacob on electric guitar for a fuller sound that carries a bigger room, again three 45 minute sets with the same sound and lighting. Either can be extended by a set if your night runs on, and specific songs can be learned for the day if you ask far enough ahead.
