About
Innessa is a singer for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Innessa sings covers people already half know, then slips a few Spanish songs in and the room shifts. The catalogue is wide: Bill Withers, The Cranberries, The White Stripes, Kate Bush, Ed Sheeran, Christina Perri, jazz standards like Autumn Leaves and All Of Me, plus her own material such as Beneath The Azure Skies. Sunshine Coast based, and the lineup scales to the job. Four-piece with drums, piano, double bass and guitar and vocals. Trio. Duo on piano, guitar and voice. Or a duo with a keyboard player running programmed arrangements, which fills a room out more than you'd expect. Solo with backing tracks is there too. She needs power, and enough floor for a drum kit and four musicians if you go full band. Public liability.
Watch
The show
Fair warning: the familiar songs will make you nostalgic whether you planned on it or not. Innessa sings covers most of the room already half knows, then drops in a few Spanish numbers, and that's usually the moment people stop talking and start listening. Her voice does most of the work. The packages set out how big or small you want the sound behind it.
On the day
Power, and enough floor for a drum kit and four musicians if you're going with the full band. Smaller line ups need much less room.
Performance options
Five shapes, depending on the room. The four piece is drums, piano, double bass, and guitar with vocals. The trio drops the double bass. A duo of piano, guitar and vocals keeps it intimate. There's also a duo where the keyboard player runs programmed drums and arrangements, which sounds far closer to a full band than two people should, and it's a good answer when the room wants a big sound without a big line up. Solo is the last option: vocals with backing tracks, or just voice and acoustic guitar.
