About

Gerda is a singer for hire in Newcastle, NSW.

Twenty years in the industry, and Gerda still writes her own songs. The Newcastle singer's style sits in R&B, soul, blues and pop, with a covers list that moves from Bill Withers and Tracy Chapman through Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles to Dua Lipa, Harry Styles and Tones And I. She can play it chilled for the quiet moments of a day, or lift it into something with real momentum. Available as a soloist or a duo, with a trio or full band arranged on request. She needs about a metre and a half square for speakers and instruments, ideally near power, and some cover if the weather turns.

A metre and a half square is enough room for the speakers and instruments, and Gerda would rather that patch sat near a power point than run cable across the floor. Outdoors is fine in the open, though wet weather needs something over the top, and a hot day needs shade if the sun is doing real damage. Mild conditions, no cover required.
