About
Gee Hicks is a singer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Crown Casino, the AFL, NAB and the Reach Foundation have all had Gee Hicks on the microphone, and the same voice turns up at weddings and private parties around Melbourne. Fifteen years of stage time shows in the small things: the set transitions that don't stall, the song choices made after an actual conversation about your day rather than off a fixed list. Gee brings a PA that speeches and an MC can use too, so all the venue needs to supply is a power point. Acoustic, jazz, soul, country, pop, gospel, morning melodies, or a DJ set. And if there's a song that matters to you, ask, it gets learned.
Watch
The show
Fifteen years on stage shows up in details you wouldn't put on a list. Sets that hand over to each other without a gap. Songs picked after a conversation about your day, not lifted off a fixed sheet. Gee Hicks sorts the detail before the date so the running order is settled, then sets up and packs down without needing to be managed. Acoustic, jazz, soul, country, pop, gospel, morning melodies or a DJ set, depending on what your event is. Crown Casino, the AFL and NAB have all booked the same voice.
On the day
The PA is Gee's, and it's open for your speeches and your MC to use as well, which saves hiring a second system for the formalities. One electrical point is the whole ask. The rest gets handled on the day.
