Gavin Roche is a singer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Gavin Roche plays weddings, corporate events, pubs, clubs and private functions, and he MCs as well, which makes him useful when a day needs someone keeping the running order on track between songs. His list leans towards the good end of alternative and rock: 1979, Another Love, Back To Black, Better Man, Bittersweet Symphony, Big Jet Plane, Californication, Breezeblocks, Budapest and plenty more, with Irish material like Back Home In Derry mixed through. Relaxed is the word for the atmosphere he goes for. Power and shelter from rain are the only things he asks of an outdoor venue. Brisbane based.
On the day
Power, and that's most of it. Gavin brings everything else himself. Outdoors is where the second thing matters: he'll want some shade or a bit of cover overhead, partly for the heat and partly because Brisbane weather can turn on a gig without much notice. A verandah, a marquee corner or a shaded pergola all work fine.
