About
D.b Cooper is a singer for hire in Geelong, VIC.
A one-man band in the proper sense. D.b. Cooper sings and plays guitar over high-definition digital backing tracks, and the result fills a room like a full line-up. The catalogue leans 70s and 80s: Hotel California, Take It Easy, Under The Milky Way, Rebel Rebel, Cheap Wine, Space Oddity, You May Be Right, Learn To Fly, Wonderful Tonight, Year Of The Cat. Based in Geelong and comfortable in pubs and clubs, at birthdays, engagements, weddings and corporate events, whether that's an afternoon session or a full evening. All equipment and lighting supplied. On time and on brief, which is most of the job.
The show
One person, but it sounds like a band. D.b. Cooper sings and plays guitar over high-definition backing tracks, and the songs come mostly from the 70s and 80s. Afternoon sessions or full evenings both work, and the show has done the rounds of pubs and clubs, birthdays, engagements, weddings and corporate nights. On time, on brief, and tuned to what each room and each client actually wants. That reliability is half of why venues rebook.
On the day
Everything needed arrives with him, equipment and lighting both. No hire company to ring, nothing to borrow off the venue, and nothing on your list beyond telling him where to park and when to start. It's about as light a set-up as a live act gets.
