About
David Lee is a singer for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
David started out playing pubs in the UK in the 90s and now works the Sunshine Coast, from small venues right up to corporate functions and big family occasions. The repertoire runs past 150 songs and reaches back to the British invasion bands, the Beatles, the Stones, the Kinks, through Dylan, Cat Stevens and Clapton, and forward into Oasis, Ed Sheeran and Vance Joy. On any given night you might get Ain't No Sunshine, Moonshadow, Brown Eyed Girl, Riptide or Blank Space. He'll learn extras if you ask early enough. Everything he needs comes with him, sound and lighting, all safety inspected. Give him power and about three metres square to work in. Third party liability insurance covers you and your guests.
The show
David turns up with everything, and everything works. That sounds like a small thing until you've had an act arrive with half a PA. His gear is safety inspected, the sound and lighting are set up to suit the room rather than blasted at one level, and he stays in touch from your first message right through to after the night's done. The repertoire sits past 150 songs. If there's one you want that isn't in there, ask early and he'll usually learn it.
On the day
Two things: somewhere to plug in, and about three metres square of floor. He carries the rest himself, sound and lights included, so you're not chasing a hire company or borrowing the venue's system.
Performance options
Rather than fixed packages, David builds the booking around your day. The usual starting shape is three sets of about 45 minutes, and you can add hours on top of that. He'll also stay on for extended service if you need it, which covers background music before and after the sets and the use of his microphones for speeches.
