About
Brooklyn Handford Music is a singer for hire in Dalby, QLD.
One voice, one guitar, and a swag of country. Brooklyn Handford is an acoustic singer from Dalby whose sets are full of familiar songs you didn't realise you'd missed. She's played the Big Skies Festival and the Mort and Co Greg Inglis Dinner since moving to Queensland, and covers weddings as readily as festivals and functions. The setup asks almost nothing of a venue: a power point and a three by three metre space, and she's ready to go.
The show
One woman, one guitar, and a set list of songs you'd forgotten you knew every word to. That's the whole idea, and it's why she works as well at a wedding as at a festival. Nothing gets padded out with backing tracks or production. If your event needs music that people can talk over early and sing along with later, this is the simple version of that.
On the day
A power point and a space three metres by three. That's the entire list. She brings her own gear, so nobody at your venue needs to find a PA, chase down leads or work out where the sound desk goes. Handy if you're using a space that was never built for live music, like a shed, a marquee or the corner of a function room.
