About
Brad Stokes is a singer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
More than 500 weddings and corporate functions, and over a thousand live gigs all told. Brad Stokes has played everything from a seaside canape hour with 20 guests to formal functions with 300, adjusting the style to build whatever atmosphere the event needs. His artist list runs wide: Crowded House, Jeff Buckley, Cold Chisel, Fleetwood Mac, Ed Sheeran, Johnny Cash. Brisbane based, he travels throughout south east Queensland and northern New South Wales, and further by request. He arrives up to an hour early to set up and sound check, brings all his own equipment, takes requests, and will learn special songs before the day. Power is all he asks of the venue. Public liability insurance held, details on request.
Watch
The show
He turns up to an hour before you need him, so there's time to set up properly and run a sound check rather than rush it. All the gear is his own, guitars, mics and amps included. The only thing he needs from the venue is power. Requests are welcome on the night, and if there's a song that matters to you, tell him early and he'll learn it before the event.
On the day
A power point, and a flat area of roughly two metres by two.
Performance options
Bookings run in two, four or six hour blocks, so a short ceremony and drinks slot sits at one end and a full evening at the other. He'll travel beyond the Brisbane area for the right event.
