About
Ready To Rock is a rock band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Four pieces, 70s and 80s blues-based rock, and a repertoire deep enough that any age group in the room finds a song they'll sing. Ready To Rock work Sydney private parties, pubs, clubs and corporate gigs, and they're built for a crowd that wants to be on its feet rather than nodding politely. The band adapts to most rooms if you brief them properly beforehand. Quotes cover different sizes: a two-guitar duo, a trio with bass and drums, or the full band with two guitars, bass, drums and keys.
The show
Blues based rock from the seventies and eighties, played by four people who'd rather see a dance floor than a row of polite nodding. The repertoire runs deep enough that whoever's in the room, and at a private party that usually means several generations of them, somebody knows the words. Sydney pubs, clubs, corporate nights and private parties are the usual territory. Booking is handled through management, so the details and the brief get sorted properly before anyone loads a van.
On the day
They'll fit into most rooms, but that depends on getting a proper brief in advance. Send through the details of the space, the stage or the corner you have in mind, what power is available and how the night is running, and they'll come back on whether it works and what needs sorting. The more you tell them beforehand, the less gets discovered on the day.
Performance options
Three line ups, and the right one usually comes down to the size of the room. A duo, two guitars, suits a smaller venue or a night where music is the background rather than the main event. The trio adds bass and drums, which is where it starts to feel like a band. Then the full line up, two guitars, bass, drums and keyboards, for a proper party where you want people up. Quotes are put together by management, so describe your venue and they'll match a size to it.
