About
Sound Meditation is a psychic for hire in Perth, WA.
Paul runs group sound meditation in Perth using crystal bowls, didgeridoo, shruti box, koshi chimes, rainsticks, ocean drums and brass bowls, played through a sound system. A session runs about an hour and a half in a decent sized room, with other sound artists joining in. It opens with relaxation music and chanting, then full sets of instruments played from the front, then Paul walks between the participants playing single instruments up close so everybody gets their own version of the sound. Guests lie on a yoga mat with a pillow, and a blanket is a good idea. Set up and pack down each take half an hour to an hour, and a power outlet is needed. One on one ceremonies afterwards can be arranged.
The show
Paul runs a group sound meditation with other sound artists, about an hour and a half of it. Crystal bowls, didgeridoo, shruti box, koshi chimes, rainsticks, ocean drums and brass bowls. It opens with relaxing music and chanting, then full sets played from the front of the room, then Paul walks between everyone playing single instruments close up, so each person gets the sound in their own space rather than as part of a wash. Guests lie down on a yoga mat with a pillow. Bring a blanket too, because bodies cool off quickly once they've stopped moving.
On the day
Half an hour to an hour to get the sound system and the instruments in place, and the same again to pack down afterwards, so build that into your timings at both ends. A power outlet is needed. The room wants to be a decent size, since guests are lying down with space around them and Paul moves between them during the session.
Performance options
The group session is the main booking. Beyond it, Paul offers one on one healing ceremonies once the meditation has finished, which some hosts arrange for guests who want to go further on the day. He works as a shamanic energy worker, and those ceremonies come out of that practice rather than the group format. Mention it when you enquire so the running order allows the extra time.
