The Piano Man is a solo pianist and singer for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Scot Finnie spent a thousand nights as the resident piano vocalist at the Ritz-Carlton Double Bay, and that residency shaped everything since. Private events around Australia, weddings and evening parties abroad in Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt and the French south, corporate work in rooms that expect a certain standard. His book runs past 400 songs across Sinatra, Michael Buble, classic Motown, Ed Sheeran and the piano men themselves, Elton John and Billy Joel. What makes him useful is the range of the night: arrivals, dinner, formalities, and into dance sets if the evening calls for it. He can supply his own production for up to 150 guests. Insured.

The show
Piano and voice, played to the standard a high-end room expects. Scot Finnie handles the whole arc of an evening rather than a couple of sets: guests arriving, dinner, the formalities, and on into dance music if the night wants to go that way. Presentation and conduct on site are part of what you're booking, which matters at private events and corporate functions where the entertainment is judged as closely as the venue.
On the day
He can bring his own production for events up to 150 guests. If you're supplying the audio instead, here's what the stage needs: a Beta 58 on a boom stand for vocals, a piano mic at the engineer's discretion where a piano is provided, or a DI if he's on keyboard, plus a DI for the drum machine. Foldback should be a 12 inch and horn or in-ear, with its own effects send. A large hall reverb on the vocal finishes it.
Performance options
Two booking lengths: up to three hours, or up to five for a longer night. Both are quoted for the Sydney metropolitan area. Regional, interstate and overseas dates are quoted on their own terms once he knows where and when. One thing to check early. The performance doesn't include a piano, so if your venue hasn't got one, hiring an instrument is a separate arrangement to sort out before the day.
