About
Andrew Nolte and His Orchestra is an orchestra for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Original Jazz Age arrangements give Andrew Nolte and His Orchestra its sound. Reeds, brass, strings and rhythm players work through a programme of 1920s music, from the Charleston to ballads and dance numbers associated with early radio and Hollywood. The Melbourne orchestra puts the period's instrumentation at the centre of the performance. For a vintage event, that means hearing these songs played as orchestral pieces, with the different sections sharing the melodies and dance rhythms.
